Bridal Train Lehengas

With wedding lehengas the sky’s the limit. In this article, bridal train lehengas, we share the story of a bride that blended an American tradition into her gorgeous custom-made lehenga: a train.

While this design is fabulous, is it conducive for Indian weddings where there will be phere? It seems like it would be cumbersome to walk around the havan with the train. Not to mention dangerous with the proximity to the open flame?

Our featured bride, Shreta worked closely with Dallas-based fashion designer Prachi from Prashe Fashion, to come up with the design for this ceremony lehenga.  Prachi designed and made three outfits in total for the bride: for the garba-sangeet, wedding, and reception. In all, it took about 7 months to design and create the three lehengas. The photos below, illustrate the ceremony lehenga from different angles.

In this photo you can see the train on the sides – especially the left. We like how it bunches when she sits – looks pretty.

Bridal train lehengas are unique and add a touch of flare. Though to be honest, they can be cumbersome for weddings where the bride and groom are doing the phere.
