Before we dive in to this feature, we HAVE to talk about their super unique baraat…with a parade float. Definitely a first from what we’ve seen! So cool!

Amy shared: My husband, Peter loves everything unique and different, so when it came time to picking a vehicle the baraat, it was no different. He wanted something that hadn’t been done before. Manmade Floats in LA made it for us and were very excited to be part of this. Peter and his cousin helped design the float.

They drove the float from LA on a big trailer and then unloaded it once they got to the hotel loading area.

The hotel worked with us in blocking off the area for our 45 minute baraat!

{Selecting the Venue}

We wanted a venue in San Diego that:

had outdoor wedding space
capacity to host 600 guests

We loved the Marriott! Their reception ballroom was brand new and overlooked downtown San Diego and private yachts.

Our wedding was the FIRST South Asian wedding they’d ever done there. Our wonderful wedding coordinator, Atrina Mirza from Bridal & Event Lounge, educated them about our culture and needs for the weekend!

Our colors were gold, white, ivory, accents of fresh greens, and accents of light peach

Bridal & Event Lounge (BEL) did an amazing job! Learn more about BEL in the ShaadiShop Vendor Directory. We had a beautiful dessert bar, Vietnamese shaved ice onsite, and special performances from the talented Joya Kazi Unlimited dance troupe. AND I sang for Peter!
