If you’re seeking a non-hotel venue that is very experienced in Indian weddings – look no further than the Nixon Library.

Couples love the Ceremony Lawn and the East Room which is a replica of the East Room in the White House. The East Room features crystal chandeliers, Italian silk draperies, and a wooden terrazzo dance floor. Additionally, the reception package comes with golden Versailles chairs.

Approx. 15 miles north of John Wayne Airport (SNA). Guests arriving from abroad will fly to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

How will guests get to/from the Nixon Library? Since the Nixon Library and Museum is not a hotel, you and your out-of-town guests will probably stay at a hotel nearby. So you may want to suggest that your out-of-town guests rent cars, as public transport isn’t a viable option.

Rental Cars. At John Wayne Airport, the rental cars are on-site, making it pretty seamless to get a car and be on your way. At LAX, the rental cars are off-site and requires to take a shuttle.

{Pricing}

Venue Rental Fee: Varies from $9,000-$12,000 for 7 consecutive hours on Saturday
(4pm-11pm or 5pm-12am) for up to 200 guests. Setup is allowed up to 2 hours prior to the event. Additional setup hours will incur additional fees. For additional time i.e. a morning wedding + lunch, the additional rental fees range from $3,000-$5,000.

Venue Pricing includes: dance floor, garden chairs for the ceremony, Versailles chairs for the reception, tables, cocktail tables, dance floor, draped gift, guestbook and cake tables, getting-ready suites for the couple, free parking.

Fees for Servers and Staff. The Nixon Library partners with 24 Carrots to provide servers, bartenders and staff for your event as well as china, glassware and flatware. You will which sign a separate service contract with them. The fee is approximately $45 per person including service charge and tax for one 7 hour block.

Bar and Beverage Fees. All alcohol and beverages must be provided by the venue. The bar and beverages are an additional fee.

Lunch after the ceremony. If you plan to serve lunch after the ceremony, additional venue rental fees of $3000-$5000 will apply for additional venue time, as well as additional for servers and staff.

Important Notes:

  • These prices don’t include food. You will contract directly with your caterer for the food.
  • Prices based on buffet style meals. Plated meals may be possible for additional fees.

There are Indian restaurant banquet halls and community centers in Orange County, BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills, Sanatan Dharma Mandir in Norwalk, or hotels that will be lower cost than the Nixon Library such as the Delta Marriott Anaheim would be convenient to host the room block as well. The Nixon Library and Muhurats

The Nixon Library rents the space in 7 hour blocks from 4pm-11pm or 5pm to midnight. If that conflicts with your muhurat, you may be subject to additional rental fees from the Nixon Library as well as service fees from 24 Carrots.

Hindu Dietary Requirements

The Nixon Library allows you to hire a caterer that is licensed and insured. Work directly with your caterer to prepare a menu per your dietary requirements. Your caterer must provide all chafing dishes, sternos, serving utensils, as well as setup a satellite kitchen and security fee of approximately $300.

Closest Gurdwaras

There are two Gurdwaras near the Nixon Library. Both of them are in Buena Park: the Gurdwara Singh Sabha is about 15 miles west of the Nixon Library. And the Buena Park Gurdwara is about 14 miles west of the Nixon Library. Since they are so close, if you prefer, you could have your Anand Karaj and langar at the Gurdwara with cocktail hour and the reception at the Nixon Library.
