Wedding canopy and flooring on the grass
The Hilton San Diego Bayfront has not hosted a Sikh wedding but they certainly can. The Anand Karaj pictured here was setup on a lawn, much like the Promenade Plaza at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront which has grass (pictured below). At this Anand Karaj the couple worked with their vendors to lay down a sub-flooring made of plywood for the guests to sit on, as sitting on the grass would be uncomfortable and potentially even wet. This would be a great option at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Photo: Greycard Photography

{Two Ceremony Weddings}

If you are planning to have two ceremonies that honor each of your traditions and cultures the Hilton San Diego Bayfront is happy to work with you on setup and logistics for a seamless day of celebration.

More About Two Ceremony Weddings

Most couples that are having back-to-back ceremonies usually have the Indian/South Asian ceremony first followed by the other ceremony. Why? Because usually a Sikh, Jain, and Hindu wedding ceremony is longer than the other ceremony and often the setup and couple’s attire is more involved as well.

To keep guests entertained in-between ceremonies, couples often arrange food and drink (kind of a pseudo cocktail hour), and/or entertainment.
